As a Sport Instructor, Speed Skating (Short Track) at the Richmond Oval, you will be responsible for assisting with on-ice program delivery for Neo Junior and Junior speed skating athletes who are following the High Performance Competitive Stream. The objective of this role is to provide opportunities and incentives for promising instructors/coaches in the lower mainland to work with High Performance Competitive Stream athletes and a knowledgeable coaching staff. Your role involves refining technical skills, and fostering a healthy, holistic team culture among the athletes.
The Sport Instructor, Speed Skating (Short Track Summer Camp) position is open to club instructors/coaches currently working with Child and Youth-aged category athletes, who are interested in gaining more coaching experience over the summer. This is a great opportunity for promising coaches in the lower mainland to work with knowledgeable, high performance coaching staff. Our camp runs July 1-6, 2024.
As a Facility Service Worker, you are both proactive and responsive in providing exceptional guest experiences through routine facilities and/or equipment care, cleaning and maintenance, parking operations, venue conversions and frontline operational services. FSW’s are great at finding solutions, capable of independent motivation, love to work in a busy operational environment, customer focused and able to perform well within a team environment.
The High Performance Coordinator reports to the Manager, High Performance & Fitness. The Oval’s High Performance Department delivers integrated sport services to community through to Olympic and Paralympic level athletes. Key areas of responsibility include program and service administration and coordination, business development, managing key relationships, coach, athlete and client relations and financial oversight.
The Volleyball Head Coach of the Richmond Olympic Oval (“the Oval”) works as part of an integrated team of professionals to deliver coaching and training for the Oval High Performance (OvalHP) Volleyball programs. The Head Coach is responsible for leading and directing the OvalHP Volleyball Pathway programs. This includes creating training curriculums and plans for the Volleyball Canada Regional Excellence Program (REP), Atomic, Performance development, and seasonal camps. The Oval HP Head Coach is responsible for creating development strategies to enhance the skills and abilities of volleyball coaches.
